The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car burglary that occurred in the area of Opal Drive near Camp Mack in unincorporated Lake Wales. 

The victim’s car was burglarized on March 28, 2022. The thief stole several items from the vehicle including the victim’s wallet. The victim’s credit card was later used at McDonalds (416 W. Central Ave.) in Lake Wales. The suspect left the restaurant in a black Chevy Traverse with damage to the driver’s side rear fender.
